Credentials & Experience
Industry-recognized credentials that protect your investment
Why Training Matters
Not all roofing contractors are created equal. Certifications from leading manufacturers mean your contractor has met rigorous standards for training, workmanship, and customer satisfaction. Only a small percentage of contractors achieve these designations — and Stout Roofing has maintained every one of them for years. Here's what sets us apart from the rest.
Our Credentials
Business Accreditation
BBB A+ Accredited Business
What it means: The Better Business Bureau A+ rating is the highest possible score, awarded to businesses that meet BBB accreditation standards for trust, advertising, transparency, and responsiveness to customer concerns.
How we earned it: Maintained an A+ rating through zero unresolved complaints, transparent business practices, and consistent customer satisfaction. We respond promptly to every inquiry and stand behind our work with written warranties.
Service Award
Angi Super Service Award
What it means: The Super Service Award is given to top-rated professionals on Angi (formerly Angie's List) who maintain exceptional ratings, respond promptly to customer requests, and consistently deliver outstanding work.
How we earned it: Received multiple Super Service Awards through consistently high customer ratings — 4.9 stars with hundreds of verified reviews. Our commitment to responsiveness and quality has earned us this distinction year after year.
Manufacturer Training
CertainTeed Systems
What it means: CertainTeed's SELECT ShingleMaster programme is their highest level of installer training, covering advanced shingle installation technique. We have worked with CertainTeed products for over 20 years.
How we earned it: Completed CertainTeed's training programme and held to their quality standards for over 20 years. We attend refresher courses to stay current with materials and installation methods. Jake Stout passed the ShingleMaster test on the first try and received CertainTeed's 'Wizzard' certificate, which they describe as prestigious and rare. We have installed thousands of CertainTeed Landmark and Presidential roofs across the Seattle area.
Manufacturer Training
GAF Systems
What it means: GAF is North America's largest shingle manufacturer. Their contractor programme requires factory training, proper licensing and insurance, and a proven reputation for quality work.
How we earned it: Over 40 years of consistent, high-quality GAF Timberline HDZ installations. Our team attends manufacturer training and maintains all required insurance and licensing.
Manufacturer Training
Malarkey Systems
What it means: Malarkey's Pro programme involves in-person training with a Malarkey representative and a Pro-level assessment. It covers their Secure Choice roof system and the accessories that go with it.
How we earned it: Completed Malarkey's training program, passed the test, met specific criteria and experience requirements and proved our enhanced knowledge of Malarkey roofing products.
Manufacturer Training
Owens Corning Systems
What it means: Owens Corning's Preferred programme covers their Preferred Protection System, which provides TRU PROtection for the first 50 years on qualifying installations.
How we earned it: The programme requires a company to be licensed, bonded and insured for at least $1,000,000 in general liability, with a verified track record of financial stability and customer service. Entry is by invitation from an Area Sales Manager.
